Here's MAO, maybe one of my more unique characters! He started off all the way back in early 2023, where I designed a simple blonde dragon themed character. I didn't know I'd come to like MAO so much! His name is MAO because I'd like to imagine him with cat-like features along with his dragon ones, similar to Haku! He eventually evolved from an effeminate dancer, to the still effeminate but now "dark" character he is today. MAO used to be named Tatsu also! When I changed his name recently while drawing again, I realized I had a lot of Japanese characters already, so I thought, "why don't I try something new?" Anyways, I really hope you enjoy him!

When MAO was born in a small wooded area outside of Zaozhuang, he actually hatched from an egg! Safely intertwined in the water lilies of a small, sacred lake, MAO knew that his life would be interesting, for his parents were dragons! Now an adult after a childhood in his parent's palace inside of the lake, MAO has adopted a stoic and cool personality, perfectly matching his jet-black motorcycle with golden dragon decorations. Throughout Shanghai he's a bit well-known in the small but crowded streets, as he feels the need to protect anyone he sees from trouble (perhaps it's his nature as a dragon?). During the day, however, MAO watches over the city in his dragon form, protecting the city from creatures of myth with a golden shine. He can often be seen drinking baijiu and chatting with the locals in Shanghai during his night rides, but remains elusive as he returns to his bike shortly after, never to be seen again until the next night.
