Ciel is a pretty new character of mine, but I really wanted to test my hand at different designs and story types, so I created her and Don a few months ago. She's a very typical angel girl, with a sweet personality and fluffy golden hair, but what sets her apart from my other characters is her story. Normally I would make her backstory quite idealistic and sugary sweet, but I figured to make it a more melancholic tone because of what happened with Don. Despite her name and the fact I'm a fan of Yana Toboso, she has no relation to Ciel Phantomhive (I realized the similarities after the fact ;;).

Before Ciel ever came to be, her true parents created her from their wings and a white lily. But before she was to emerge from said lily, Don was being pursued and used her flower as protection from becoming a fallen angel...but to no avail. As Don became a fallen angel, he held onto Ciel right as she emerged and thus she fell with him, causing her parents to forget she even existed. Ever since then Don decided to take care of her, however he begun hiding his past in fear of eternal lonliness. Despite technically becoming a "fallen angel," Ciel surely didn't lose her angelic appearance and demeanor! She doesn't quite understand the mortal realm, but more often than not she flaunts her angelic form by flying with the birds and speaking kindly to everyone she meets. Unbeknownst to Ciel, she is actually Don's light in his deep depression, and the only time he smiles is seeing her fly freely, without burdens. Ciel can also commonly be seen drawing a mysterious figure in white, stating it was a figure she saw in a dream once before. All in all, she cares for her older brother deeply and is always trying to make Don smile in spite of his eternal guilt. In due time though, she will learn where she has come from, for better or for worse.
