A little sweetness goes a long way!

Hello hello! Welcome to my personal website, amari-ga-shin-da! I'm AmariHBNK, or Amari for short, and I created this blog almost four years ago now. Originally, I was inspired to make a Neocities website after hearing about Ranfren around early 2022 and even based my original website theme on cryptic works such as Yume Nikki and nana825763's videos, but it really didn't speak to me as much as my sweet and sugary theme does now. As you can probably tell by my retro-ish theme for my website, I really have a soft spot for older Japanese styles, especially the Taisho to Heisei eras in terms of art and fashion! I don't know, I just really love older Japanese media, although I also have a hard time finding others who enjoy said history as much as I do ^^; I guess I just have to search harder! (･ω･)ゞ敬礼
I'm currently in twelfth grade (高校３年生), and my birthday is December 21st. I'm also quite nervous sharing things about myself outside of close friends, but please refer to me in any way you'd like. I feel like I'm someone who's very shy, so both online and offline I tend to have trouble speaking to others; it's hard to connect and make friends as well since I'm really afraid of hurting anyone or embarrassing myself. I'm most likely a bitter old man on the inside, but it's okay because I'm really grateful for the friends I do have!

Like I said above I've been a fan of Japanese media and things since I was really young, and anime/manga really shaped who I am as a person to this day! I grew up with more laid-back media like Lucky Star and read similar manga like Yotsubato, so I enjoy soft shows that can make me smile and just things I can relax to. I'm also a (wannabe) HUGE collector, but I focus more on keychains and smaller figures I can display on my desk and shelves. A big inspiration of mine is a creator named Tamakid, who helped me embrace my continuous love for toys like dolls/food replicas and helping me get over my fear of thinking they were too childish to enjoy ^^; Let's see... what else should I add here? Other than me liking anime and Japanese culture, I'm also a bit of an artist (My art is on here!), and I'm a diehard fan of both cute fashion (Lolita!) and rhythm games (the ABXY buttons own my soul). I guess that's basically all I can think to tell you, I really hope you enjoy my website! Explore as much as you'd like... I've left goodies in every corner! Thank you :]
