A little sweetness goes a long way!

Hello hello! Welcome to my personal website/blog, amari-ga-shin-da! I'm AmariHBNK, or Amari for short, and I created this website almost three
years ago. Originally I was inspired after reading Ranfren and watching a lot of Lain/old Japanese horror videos (nana825763), so at first this
website was more of a cryptic "art project" rather than a cute, personal blog. I've been a fan of Japanese aesthetics for quite some time now, with Heisei Retro
and Lolita being my favorites since I grew up with anime and manga from then. A lot of my favorites are pretty old/ not as well known because of that,
but it's okay, because I like the thrill of finding people who know the same things as me :]
I'm currently in eleventh grade (高校２年), and my birthday is December 21st, 2007. Online, please refer to me in gender neutral ways since
I'm nervous about revealing things about me outside of friends. I feel like I'm someone who's too shy, so both online and offline I tend to
have trouble speaking to others, it's hard to connect and make friends also since I'm really afraid of hurting other people or embarrassing
myself. I'm most likely a bitter old man on the inside, but it's okay because I'm really grateful for the friends I do have.

Like I said above I've been a fan of Japanese media and things since I was really young, and anime/manga really shaped who I am as a person to this day!
I grew up with more laid-back shows like Lucky Star and read similar manga like Yotsubato, so I enjoy soft shows that can make me smile. I'm also a HUGE collector,
but I focus on keychains and smaller figures I can display on my desk and shelves. A big thanks goes out to Tamakid, who helped me embrace my continuous love
for toys like dolls/food replicas and helping me get over my fear of thinking they were too childish to like ^^; Let's see... what else should I add here?
Other than me liking anime and Japanese culture, I'm also a bit of an artist (My art is on here!), and I'm a diehard fan of both cute fashion (Lolita!)
and rhythm games (the ABXY buttons own my fingers). Heehee, I guess that's basically all I can think to tell you, I really hope
you enjoy my website! Explore as much as you'd like... I've left goodies in every corner! Thank you!
